The Fake & The Genuine

INTRODUCTION

Throughout the centuries, raging debates have continued unabated, and have even resulted in religious wars. Even in Christendom itself, many sects have debated as to which is the genuine Christian faith.

BODY SERMON

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless. Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. – James 1:26-27

CONCLUSION

Question: Are you a fake or are you genuine?

If you are genuine, then you don’t have a problem. If you are a FAKE, you have a problem, but you have hope in Christ.

Make Jesus not only your Savior, make him the Lord of your life, so that you might be genuinely saved and changed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The kind of religion that does not change our manner of speech and does not change the deceitfulness of our hearts is worthless.
