There are pastors who teach that tithing is no longer the practice in the ...New Testament. They espouse GRACE GIVING in their churches. While we don’t personally have problems with this doctrinal slant, we believe the pastors who teach this have misapplied it.
The practical implication for those who teach this is that God doesn’t mind if you give little to Him for as long as it is what you have “purposed in your heart.” When we look at this passage, the context encourages not lesser giving, but more giving.
