"Fighting Temptation And Distress" (Matthew 26:36-46) Pastor Mel Caparros February 16, 2025
"Fighting Temptation And Distress" (Matthew 26:36-46) Pastor Mel Caparros February 16, 2025 Sunday Service
Temptations and trials are very real and they are elements that we meet in many seasons in ...our lives and it is something that will continue for the rest of our earthly journey. Sin should not be a part of Christian life, but it always enters into our lives, through the backdoor of temptation and trials. This passage provides for us, the ways to overcome temptation and trials.
In this passage, Jesus was confronted with much temptation and distress, but overcame and we will see that the reason for His victory. Incidentally, Jesus used these personal crisis situation to teach His disciples how to respond to these elements.

"When God Says Enough" (Psalm 51) Pastor Roy Versoza February 09, 2025 Sunday Service
"When God Says Enough" (Psalm 51) Pastor Roy Versoza February 09, 2025 Sunday Service
We are living in turbulent times. Society is breaking down. Marriages are breaking up. Immorality is breaking ...out. Criminals are breaking in. The economy is breaking bad and the world is just breaking apart. And because of this, people are asking is the Lord Jesus Christ coming back soon? But you know what? It's not just what's happening around us that we need to look at. Our Bibles tell us that we are also to look at what's happening inside the church.
We will touch on this sensitive topic to help us understand what happens when we remain in sin, what happens when we keep on giving in to temptation? What happens when we allow sin to remain unconfessed? What happens when God says enough?
And to answer that question will study a chapter from the Book of Psalms written by David, who had to learn a lesson the hard way. He learned the destructive power of sin.

“The Jacob Syndrome” (Matthew 26:31-35) Pastor Mel Caparros February 2, 2025 Sunday Service
“The Jacob Syndrome” (Matthew 26:31-35) Pastor Mel Caparros February 2, 2025 Sunday Service
Jacob was a man who always relied on himself and his manipulative ways, but God continually showed him ...the folly of relying on his own strength and wisdom. We are often beset by this same syndrome, in that we often rely on our own strength and that has been the reason for our many failures.
The apostles and most especially Peter are here seen falling into the trap of what I will call the “Jacob Syndrome”. The object lesson in this passage is that we need to rely on God continually so that we may live victorious lives.

"So Near And Yet So Far" (Matthew 26:14-25) Pastor Mel Caparros January 19, 2025 Sunday Service
The name “Judas” was simply the Greek form of “Judah”, one of the tribes of ...Israel. The name comes from a root meaning “Yahweh leads” and could also mean "one who is the object of praise." Either way, he is the complete opposite of what his name means.
Added to his name is the word “Iscariot”. Now that is not his surname, but simply a geographical identification. Judas was "a man from the town of Kerioth.” It’s interesting that he is the only Apostle who is identified geographically and Matthew may be pointing to the fact that he is the only non-Galilean, the only Judean Jew. Judas was never really one of the boys either in location or in his motive of following Jesus. Whereas all the other apostles followed Jesus fully, Judas made a detour by betraying Jesus.
What is so tragic about this is that Judas stood in the fairest surroundings the world has ever known, and yet he’s damned forever! He was SO NEAR, and yet SO FAR!

"Jesus The Passover Lamb - Hated And Loved" (Matthew 26:1-13) Pastor Mel Caparros January 12, 2025
"Jesus The Passover Lamb - Hated And Loved" (Matthew 26:1-13) Pastor Mel Caparros January 12, 2025 Sunday Service
This passage clearly points to Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes ...away the sin of the world, which speaks of Jesus’ GREAT LOVE and COMPASSION for the LOST. The fulfillment of prophecy regarding the
Messiah’s death is now imminent, but there is also a DRAMA that surrounds the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. On one hand, you have the HATRED of the RELIGIOUS LEADERS to be used by God to accomplish God’s decreed will for Jesus to die through the hands of RELIGIOUS LEADERS. On the other hand, we see the EXTRAVAGANT LOVE that a woman poured out on Jesus pointing to the certainty of His death and burial. The woman displayed extravagant love because this woman had experienced the great love of Jesus in her life.
This passage should serve as inspiration for us, since we have become beneficiaries of His love with HIS DYING FOR US ON THE CROSS.
The apostle John wrote, "We love because He first loved us." This should be the case with us and we should make sure that we love God EXTRAVAGANTLY.

"Promise Given, Promise Fulfilled" (Various Texts) Dr. Bebs Redulla December 22, 2024 Sunday Service
When does Christmas begin? The promise of a coming Messiah is consistently woven throughout the pages of ...the Old Testament. And the Jews were waiting and are still waiting for the Messiah to come.
It is written in their sacred scripture, the Tanakh which is basically the same as the Old Testament of the Christian Bible but arranged in a slightly different order. Christmas really began in the Old Testament.
Notice that the Old Testament ends where God does not speak to His people. After the book of Malachi was written, there was a gap of 400 years before the New Testament period began. This is known as the intertestamental period - the time between the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, when God did not speak and no new scripture was written. I believe it was for a purpose - to generate a longing for God’s return to his people. As the Jewish people were suffering in exile andtheir homeland was under foreign occupation, the promise of the restoration of Jerusalem and the coming of the Messiah grew. By the time the New Testament opens with the arrival of Jesus, Messianic hopes were at its peak!

"Three Blessings Of Christmas To A Broken World" Pastor Mel Caparros December 15, 2024 Sunday Service
We live in a BROKEN WORLD where you see CORRUPTION, IMMORALITY, PERVERSION, WICKEDNESS and DESTRUCTION.
We ...dream of a world that is TRULY FREE from all this brokenness and we are NOT ALONE in this dream. This is God’s dream and He will restore the WORLD to its ORIGINAL DESIGN with Jesus seated on the THRONE. UlOmately, this is what Christmas is all about.
It began with Christ’s REDEMPTION of the sinner through the CROSS, but it will bring so much more than individual SALVATION. The CROSS is not only the hope of the sinner; it is the hope of our BROKEN WORLD and CREATION and this is what we look forward to as well. Consider the following passages:

"The Moment Of Truth" (Matthew 25:31-46) Pastor Mel Caparros December 08, 2024 Sunday Service
The coming of Jesus Christ is the CLIMAX of the Lord’s battle against evil in the world. ...It will be a much awaited event from those who will accept Christ during the tribulation period, but it will be a fearful time for those who will not put their trust in Christ. Since it is judgment time, it will be a MOMENT of TRUTH of knowing whether you are SHEEP or a GOAT.
Although, the situation is far from us since it involves an event that will take place in the distant future, still the principle of judgment well applies to us.
