Jesus spoke of MONEY more than anybody else in the Bible, because whether people realize ...it or not, money has become a god to them. The DECEITFUL CHARACTER is such that we don’t even realize that we are enslaved in its clutches. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus said:
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
“SERVE” speaks of CONTROL; literally it means “ BE A SLAVE OF”. It speaks of FULL TIME SERVICE - Who or what controls you?
NOTE: Money or MAMMON (possessions) has become a God to some of us. MATERIALISM is PRACTICAL ATHEISM.
