INTRODUCTION
Paul knew that he could be misconstructed as advertising his needs in a subtle way. If they were thinking in those terms, he wanted to correct their misconceptions. This was not his motive! Paul never sought their gifts.
Text: Philippians 4:17 -19
Paul’s Motive: Profit of the Philippians
Philippians’ Spiritual Profit
Philippians’ Material Profit
BODY SERMON
This was how Paul described their love offerings:
(a) Aroma that was fragrant.
(b) Acceptable sacrifice. A sacrifice (v.18)
(c) Agreeable or well-pleasing to God
CONCLUSION
It is when we are faithful in our giving that we can expect God to supply not some, but all of our needs.
Poverty is never an excuse for not giving.
