The Incarnation Drama ( Part 2 )

INTRODUCTION

In last week’s sermon we talked about the DILEMMA that Mary faced since a VIRGIN having a baby has never happened in the HISTORY of the WORLD up until now.

So the PROBLEM of Joseph accepting this SUPERNATURAL PHENOMENON needed a SUPERNATURAL EXPLANATION and that’s what the angel in JOSEPH’S DREAM did.

TEXT: Matthew 1: 18 – 25

Today, we will talk about the purpose and confirmation of the incarnation and wrap it up with Joseph’s response to the angel’s revelation. Let’s do a quick review of our outline:

21“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

CONCLUSION

In God’s sovereignty, Jesus finally qualified as the LEGAL SUCCESSOR to the throne of David.

What else can we say but “Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
