INTRODUCTION
God is good with an exclamation mark, with no ifs and buts, and this goodness is seen in two truths as explained by James. James does this to establish further the fact that God cannot be the source of evil or temptation.
BODY SERMON
James 1:17-18
Two Truths on God’s Goodness:
1) General Truth on God’s Goodness
a) God, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts
b) God, the Immutable One
2) A Specific Truth on God’s Goodness
a) God’s will: Our salvation
b) God’s instrument: His Word
c) God’s Purpose: First fruits among His creatures
CONCLUSION
As such, our faith should be firm that God will never ever be the source of any temptation that comes my way. God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
