INTRODUCTION
If you say that you are a believer and that you are incorrigible, then you are not a true believer for the bible says that “he who is born of God does not continue in sin.” It says also that “they left us, because they were not really of us.”
IF WE ARE THEN TRUE BELIEVERS IN CHRIST, THEN WE MUST LAY ASIDE OUR OLD SELVES. When your old friends look at you they must no longer recognize you.
BODY SERMON
TEXT: Ephesians 4:21 – 24
If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit…
This is tantamount to saying that we should lay aside our old manner of living.
Remember that 2 COR. 5:17 states that if we are in Christ the old has passed away and the new has come.
CONCLUSION
MAY THIS TRULY BE A HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR US, BECAUSE WE ARE A HAPPY NEW MAN.
